A man who acted in a threatening way towards his girlfriend after his afternoon sleep was disturbed has been ordered to carry out unpaid work. Fiscal depute Gregor Forbes told the court Edwards had been in a relationship with the complainer and they had a one year old daughter. The solicitor for Edwards, Leonard Burkinshaw, said the situation started when his client’s partner came into the house and disturbed Edwards when he was sleeping. The solicitor added: “The shouting went on for a short while and Mr Edwards left the house. Sheriff Robert McDonald imposed a community payback order on Edwards which will require him to do 60 hours of unpaid work within six months.
