The expansion means existing South African ID holders can now apply for their Smart ID cards at more than 200 Capitec branches through the bank’s partnership with the Department of Home Affairs. According to reports, in the latest rollout, KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape have received the largest number of new branches, with 11 new locations added in each province.
