Witnesses told today how a heavy goods vehicle became jammed on a bend in Nantwich town centre for almost half an hour. This lorry was trying to negotiate the right-hand turn on Oat Market into High Street. But parked vehicles left by those with disabled/blue badges meant it became stuck as it could not turn. In December 2022, a lorry smashed into the corner of the busy charity shop while dozens of people browsed inside. Police have closed off High Street in Nantwich after the incident this afternoon (December 23).
