Firefighters spent almost 20 hours dealing with a severe blaze which destroyed a bungalow and outbuildings in Cox Bank, near Audlem. The fire started at around 3.30pm yesterday on Brook Lane and crews were sent from Audlem, Nantwich, Crewe, Lymm and Tarporley. By 7pm, crews were dampening down any hotspots and remained at the scene overnight. “Firefighters remained on scene, dampening down hotspots and continuing to monitor the affected building to ensure it is safe. “Crews were at this incident for approximately 19 hours and they have now ceased firefighting operations.
