Two brothers who had run out of money to buy fuel received an unexpected lifeline after a stranger’s simple request at a petrol station turned into a life-changing act of generosity. One of the brothers explained they were also struggling, saying, ‘I’m low. I’m waiting for money from my boss,’ while joking that they had enough fuel left to drive only another metre. After revealing it had all been a test, Phakathi asked how much it would cost to fill their tank. Overwhelmed by the unexpected kindness, one of the brothers broke down in tears, responding, ‘Because we are still being looked after by the master on top (God).’
