The crash happened on the A30 Yeovil Road, near Lower Severalls Lane, at about 3.25 pm on Monday, July 27. Police said a Honda CB650 motorbike collided with a Ford Transit tipper truck towing a trailer. The rider, a man in his 40s, was travelling towards Crewkerne at the time of the collision. The driver of the tipper truck was not physically injured and assisted officers with their enquiries. The road remained closed until about 4am the following morning while investigation work and vehicle recovery were carried out.
