A serving Nigerian Army officer, Colonel Abdussalam Ude, has been k+lled after g¥nmen reportedly att@cked his residence in the Kurudu area of Abuja in what is believed to have been a suspected abd¥ction attempt. According to sources, the g¥nmen allegedly tried to abd¥ct either the colonel or members of his family. The incident turned vi%lent, resulting in Colonel Ude being fatally sh+t, while his wife, driver and security guard sustained g+nshot injuries. Colonel Ude, who was said to be from Enugu State, served in the Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps and held several strategic intelligence and counter-terrorism appointments during his military career. As of the time of this report, the Nigerian Army had not issued an official statement on the incident, while investigations remain ongoing.
