Strong signal remains in place for a widespread rain event to sweep across the Upper Midwest Thursday night into Friday, though there are still some questions on where the axis of highest rainfall accumulation will fall. The amount of water vapor in the air, if squeezed out, could lead to 1-2″+ of rain in some locations! One thing about this rain going in our favor, is that it will not be like the rains earlier this month. Any shifts in the low pressure track north or south could mean different rain totals. If the low shifts south, totals go down for many of us, but if it shifts north, we are all in the running for significant rains.
