An explosive drone believed to belong to Hezbollah attacked an unmanned, armored Israeli bulldozer overnight, and while there were no casualties in the incident, Israeli officials are denouncing the incident and claiming it amounts to a “blatant violation” of the ceasefire agreement. That Hezbollah didn’t respect an agreement they weren’t party to and that limited only them is no surprise, and indeed Hezbollah had been loudly denouncing the agreement from the moment it was announced. The pact, seemingly, was always intended to frame Hezbollah as violating deals, while carefully omitting any limitations to Israel’s ongoing invasion and occupation of Lebanon. While Israel was angrily denouncing ceasefire violations, they were actively firing on southern Lebanon, though again, this was nominally permitted under the deal. Artillery fire today centered around the town of Arnoun, while demolition of civilian homes continued apace across much of the occupied south.
