Severfield has secured a series of data centre contracts, helping the steelwork specialist to increase its order book as it reported trading in line with expectations.
The group said data centre project wins in the UK, Germany and Sweden had pushed its UK and Europe order book to £534m at 1 July, up from £507m a month earlier.
Continental Europe, including the Republic of Ireland, now accounts for 32 per cent of the division’s order book, compared with 28 per cent at 1 June.
These awards, alongside orders from Indian partner JSW Steel, increased the operation’s order book from £267m at 1 June to £327m at 1 July.
“FY27 remains a transition year as we complete lower-margin work, but the improving quality of our order book and progress with our transformation programmes support our confidence in medium-term margin recovery.”
