Northern says the Hull-Leeds-Bradford-Halifax service has suffered poor reliability for some time, with delays on either side of Leeds affecting the entire route. Under the proposal, trains from Hull would terminate at Leeds rather than continuing to Bradford and Halifax. Passengers travelling between Bradford and Hull would instead have to change trains in Leeds. Response from Northern RailA Northern spokesperson said: “We are exploring plans to provide a more reliable service for thousands of people travelling across Yorkshire. "The Hull to Halifax service runs on a busy part of our network and when it is delayed, there is a significant knock-on effect on other trains.
