A total of 500 people took part in 'Mass Wuthering' in Haworth on July 26, 2026, an annual event inspired by Kate Bush’s iconic Wuthering Heights music video. First launched in 2014, Mass Wuthering events have taken place as far afield as Sydney, Berlin and Copenhagen. "We are using the event to raise awareness of the issues affecting those groups: domestic violence and abuse, which links to some of the themes in Brontë’s Wuthering Heights, and the environmental threats facing the moors. The dance was led by community arts company Curious Motion and took place with the kind permission of the Haworth and Oxenhope Bridleways group.
