Berlin’s Governing Mayor Kai Wegner also voiced astonishment at the previous handling by Berlin’s justice system of Abdul B.
“He was convicted (…) under juvenile criminal law,” the CDU politician said Sunday evening on RBB.
The conviction was not final at the time of his death because the General Prosecutor’s Office had appealed, seeking a higher sentence.
