Police were called to the streets of Caister amid tensions between locals who have hung national flags to streetlamps and a group of masked men apparently intent on taking them down. In video footage of the incident, they are challenged by an angry local who says he lives in the street with his children. The man, who is recording the video, then asks why the man is walking on the street late at night with a large stick. Mr Lowe said: "Tearing down our national flags is a disgrace. If you hate our flag enough to rip it down, why don’t you sod off and live somewhere else?
