The governor tapped a former state delegate to serve as the next administrator of the Maryland Transit Administration. Wes Moore’s office on Wednesday announced the appointment of former Baltimore City Delegate Tony Bridges, D-District 41, to succeed outgoing MTA Administrator Holly Arnold. “Tony Bridges brings a rare combination of hands-on transit experience, legislative insight and an unwavering commitment to Maryland,” Moore said in a statement. “I want to thank Administrator Arnold for her service at the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration,” Maryland Transportation Secretary Katie Thomson said in a statement.
