Tuesday’s severe storms left a wake of damage across Maryland amid heavy rain, strong winds and even palm-sized hail. There was a very active effort Wednesday to clear storm damage and restore power in the Shore Acres community of Arnold, Anne Arundel County. There were several trees down amid property damage, and residents shared video with WBAL-TV 11 News of downed lines sparking small explosions and fires. On the Eastern Shore, the National Weather Service is investigating social media reports of a tornado in the Trappe community of Talbot County.
