The street spectacle took place on July 17, on Holloway Road in Islington and was part of a day organised by the Holloway Neighbourhood Group (HNG) to celebrate the area’s rich heritage and cultural identity. More than 200 residents joined the celebration, which aimed to reflect on Holloway’s past, present and future through art, performance and community engagement. Visitors followed a specially designed map by artist Dayna Figueroa and staff at the Holloway Neighbourhood Group, taking in nearby shops, eateries and curiosities. It runs activities and support services at The Old Fire Station on Mayton Street and The Stress Project on Shelburne Road. Offerings include mental health support, social groups and arts activities tailored to support resident wellbeing.
