It is the creation of British-Chinese author and artist Huaicun Zhang, and transforms the gallery into a series of interactive dreamlike rooms inspired by her 30 years of storytelling. The exhibition is her first of its kind at Mall Galleries. Huaicun Zhang Hon RBA FRSA said: "This exhibition is an artistic, immersive journey into the meaning of home and how it shapes our inner worlds and personal experiences. In honour of Ms Zhang’s stories, art socks from the exhibition will be donated to The Passage to support people experiencing homelessness. The exhibition includes a collection of pen and ink drawings made while Ms Zhang was raising her daughter, visual poems about childhood emotions and vulnerability.
