Russia takes pride in having stood at the origins of the phygital movement, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted in a video address to the third International Multisport Tournament "Games of the Future," which opened in Astana.
"Russia is one of the leading sporting powers on the planet, the homeland of great athletes, records and victories.
We are proud that it was our country that stood at the origins of the phygital movement and, of course, we are creating all the conditions for the development of this sport," the Russian leader said.
Putin recalled that the All-Russian Federation of Phygital Sports was founded as early as November 2022, and the first "Games of the Future" were held in Russia in 2024.
Putin expressed his conviction that "over time, the number of independent disciplines both in the games program and in phygital sports as a whole will grow, as will their popularity.
