Over 9,000 combat training sessions have been held at the Moscow Military District's (MMD) training grounds since the beginning of this summer, including about 6,500 during the day and over 2,500 at night, the MMD press service reported. In just two months, about 6,500 sessions were held during the day and over 2,500 at night," the statement reads. Firing was conducted at air and ground targets using smoothbore rifles, assault rifles, and twin and heavy machine guns. Joint artillery crew and unmanned systems exercises to practice reconnaissance and fire adjustment are held at the training grounds.
