Two people suffered serious burn injuries in separate incidents in Maine on Tuesday. A 16-year-old girl was seriously injured after a fire started in the kitchen of her home in Searsport. A 32-year-old man arrived at Sacopee Valley Health Center suffering from burn injuries. Investigators with the State Fire Marshal's Office later met with the injured man at Maine Medical Center after he was transferred there for further treatment of his burns. The man suffered first- and second-degree burns to his abdomen, chest, arms and neck and is expected to make a full recovery.
