Flat tenant waits five months for ceiling repair under 'mystery' scaffolding

Jacqueline Brown, who rents a first-floor flat in Ely, said the delay has left her living with brown staining and an unresolved ceiling issue, which leaks when it rains.
She reported the problem about 20 weeks ago to landlords Sanctuary Housing, and was amazed at the quick response, with scaffolding being put up within a couple of days.

(Image: Submitted)Sanctuary Housing has since confirmed the scaffolding was put up for roof repairs after being contacted by Ely Standard, and now says the work will be done "as soon as possible".
“We apologise that it has taken longer than expected to begin these repairs and will ensure the remaining work is completed as quickly as possible.”
