Patients at UHMBT gave cancer services an average score of 9.1 out of 10 in the National Cancer Patient Experience Survey, now in its 15th year.
The survey, carried out by Picker on behalf of NHS England, helps NHS trusts identify strengths and areas for improvement in cancer care delivery.
Dr Lydia Briggs, Macmillan lead cancer nurse at UHMBT, said: "We are delighted that our patients continue to rate their overall care so highly, with an average score of 9.1 out of 10.
92 per cent felt their care team worked well together, compared to 89 per cent nationally, and 89 per cent rated care administration as “very good or good.”
86 per cent felt waiting times at clinics and day units were reasonable, compared to 80 per cent nationally.
