The Michelin-starred chef was recently welcomed to Rothay Manor Hotel in Ambleside where he sampled its offering of sandwiches, scones and cakes at the in-house restaurant Rowan. In a video shared by the hotel, Marco said: "My favourite meal of the day is breakfast. The renowned restaurateur also urged others to visit, saying: “You must come if you’ve not been.” A Rothay Manor Hotel spokesman said: "We're honoured to have recently welcomed Marco Pierre White to Rothay Manor for afternoon tea. "If you're visiting the Lake District this summer, why not make time for a little indulgence of your own?"
