Dodgers two-way player Shohei Ohtani runs to second base during the ninth inning of Tuesday’s game against the Seattle Mariners. But it remains unclear when Ohtani will return to the mound, and though manager Dave Roberts remains optimistic about him pitching again this season, concerns about building back up start to factor in. Ohtani and Roberts both said that the Dodgers haven’t reached a point of considering shutting down Ohtani from pitching. Added Ohtani: “The knee is where it is in terms of, for it to heal is the most important priority. “So getting him back in the mix is going to be fun for all of us as well.”
