The event, held on Friday, July 24, celebrated the golden anniversary of the official twinning link between the two communities.
Malmesbury Mayor Robert Hastings and Mayoress Barbara Firth welcomed a delegation from Niebüll, led by Burgermeister Thomas Uerschels.
Guests also included Roger Griffin, the first chair of the Malmesbury and District Twinning Association, Diana Kluger, chair of the Niebüll/Malmesbury group in Germany, and John Fairhurst, the current chair of the Malmesbury and District Twinning Association, alongside local town councillors and Mayoral Cadet Rosa Clough.
During the reception, the mayor was presented with a limited‑edition ceramic artwork created by the Nolde Foundation, titled the Guardian Angel.
The Nolde Foundation is based just outside Niebüll and runs the Nolde Museum Seebüll, which is dedicated to the life and work of Emil Nolde.
