In a press release issued on Wednesday, the GHMC said the doorstep furniture pickup service continued to help citizens dispose of old and unwanted furniture in an environmentally responsible manner. The pickup service aims to build a cleaner, greener, clog-free Hyderabad by ensuring bulky waste reaches the right destination and not the streets or drains. The collected items included 325 mattresses, 205 sofas, 142 beds, 48 cabinets, 38 tables, 25 bookshelves and 1,815 other furniture items.
