By Telangana Today Published Date - 29 July 2026, 08:22 PMHyderabad: Officials of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) were instructed to remain vigilant around hotspots, manholes, drains and drainage systems, and to ensure public safety.
On Wednesday, HMWSSB Managing Director K Ashok Reddy visited several vulnerable locations and reviewed the de-watering, flood prevention, drainage maintenance and desilting operations.
At Punjagutta, Ashok Reddy instructed officials to continuously monitor rainwater accumulation in all hotspot areas across the city and directed them to deploy dewatering pumps immediately wherever water collected on roads and remove it on an emergency basis.
Officials at all levels were directed to remain available on the ground and stay alert regarding hotspots, manholes, drains and drainage systems and ensure the public did not face inconvenience.
