Addressing a gathering after launching the two-day cancer screening camp organised by Sindhu Cancer Hospital at Vipanchi Auditorium in the town on Wednesday, Harish Rao said cancer cases have been increasing alarmingly in the state every year. Rao said Telangana was recording over 50,000 cancer cases every year, which underlines the importance of women undergoing screening tests. The former minister said Dr Parthasarathi, owner of Sindhu Cancer Hospitals, had agreed to set up a cancer screening centre near LV Prasad Hospital in Siddipet shortly.
