By Telangana Today Published Date - 29 July 2026, 08:52 PMHyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan accused the Congress government of allowing government and aided colleges to withhold students’ original certificates over pending fee payments following delayed fee reimbursement payments. He demanded that the government immediately issue instructions for the unconditional release of all original certificates irrespective of fee reimbursement arrears. He said they were allegedly being forced to pay pending fees to obtain original certificates, despite the government itself delaying fee reimbursement. Stating that the practice violated High Court orders as well as UGC and AICTE norms, he said educational institutions had no legal right to retain students’ original certificates.
