Worthing Borough Council backed the plan at a recent meeting, calling for the scheme to be funded nationally and extended to all children across England. Cllr Chowdhury said: "I'm delighted that councillors from every political group came together to support this motion. "Universal provision removes stigma, supports family budgets and helps ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive. He said: "I'm particularly pleased that this motion received unanimous backing from across the council. The motion also reaffirmed Worthing Borough Council’s commitment to working with schools, community groups, food partnerships and voluntary organisations to address food insecurity.
