The application, for land north of Little Slaughterford, in Chapel Road, will be discussed during a meeting of the planning committee on Tuesday (August 4).
Submitted by Miller Homes Limited and Miller M2 (Barns Green) Ltd, it seeks permission to build houses and maisonettes – 24 of which would be classed as affordable.
The council has received more than 500 letters objecting to the plans, with concerns raised including over-development, flooding, and sewage overflows.
And there is no ‘essential need’ to allow the homes to be built in the countryside.
The report stated: “The council has a housing land supply of just 1.7 years, whilst the proposal would result inthe delivery of 68 market and affordable dwellings to help meet this significant shortfall.”
