Police, ambulance and firefighters responded to the incident shortly before 3pm on July 29 on the A259 Kingsway in Hove. The three-vehicle collision saw one car roll onto its roof. A spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that firefighters had released one person from a car, who was treated at the scene alongside two other individuals by paramedics. The road was closed by police between Princess Crescent and Hove Street to aid with recovery works but was later reopened. Sussex Police later confirmed that the collision had involved minor injuries only.
