Signalling faults are causing chaos for train travellers between Inverness and Aberdeen. Network Rail Scotland, the agency that maintains Scotland's rail tracks, has been working for several hours to fix an issue between Aberdeen and Insch. ScotRail is currently only running trains between Inverness and Forres with replacement buses operating through much of the route. A Network Rail spokesman said: “We’re dealing with a signalling fault that’s affecting the Aberdeen - Inverness line, with no ScotRail services operating between Aberdeen and Forres.
