South Sudan's Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio (CDTY) has reached a historic milestone in Priestly formation after 50 Major Seminarians completed their final Philosophy examinations at St. John Paul II Philosophical Institute (JPIPS), an institution affiliated to the Kenya-based Consolata International University (CIU). “Today marks a historic and unforgettable milestone for the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio. By God's abundant grace, 50 major seminarians are sitting for their final examinations of the Institute of Philosophy under the Consolata International University,” Bishop Hiiboro said in a statement issued on July 28. Describing the achievement as the first of its kind for the institution, the South Sudanese Catholic Bishop added, “This is the first time that the institution has presented 50 major seminarians for graduation at one time. Bishop Hiiboro attributed the milestone to God's grace and acknowledged the contribution of all those who have supported priestly formation in the Diocese over the years.
