According to the Peters, current delays for DACA recipients at U.S. "Nearly 9,000 DACA recipients call San Diego home. Are DACA recipients being detained because of this lag?" In San Diego alone, Dreamers contribute $968 million annually to the local economy, a statement from Peters' office read.
