The sinkhole appeared on Wednesday, July 15, on Sutton Road and led to the road being closed. The road was initially closed by Worcestershire County Council after it was made aware of the 'void'. The repair of the road and the sinkhole will be carried out by Severn Trent Water, which carried out investigations at the site on Tuesday (July 28). Severn Trent has apologised for any disruption the sinkhole has caused and pledged to attempt to complete the repairs 'as soon as possible'. A Severn Trent spokesperson said: "Our teams are drawing up emergency repair plans for a collapsed sewer in Sutton Road, which had caused a small hole in the road.
