Families on social media have claimed their children have been "turned away" from Wyre Forest Leisure Centre on Silverwoods Way after it announced it would be cashless from July 1. The leisure centre now only accepts card and cashless payments as a "faster, safer and more efficient way to pay". They went to Kidderminster Leisure Centre with their pocket money to go swimming, only to be turned away because the centre recently went cashless. She has asked the Wyre Forest Commercial Services Director to formally write to the leisure centre company. Wyre Forest Leisure Centre has been contacted for a comment.
