Sidmouth Bowling Club will host the event on Saturday, September 19, at Coburg Terrace, with sessions between 11am and 1pm, and 2pm and 4pm. Organisers said everyone is welcome to take part, whether they are complete beginners or simply curious about the sport. The club has a long history in the area, dating back to May 1908, having originally been part of the Sidmouth Cricket and Croquet Club. It moved to its current site in 1922, and now offers two greens with a total of 12 rinks, including two open for public use. In 1972, it became the first club in East Devon to add an indoor bowling facility, allowing the sport to be played year-round.
