The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Wednesday concluded its hearing on the Central Power Purchasing Agency’s (CPPA) request to increase electricity tariffs by Rs. 1.20 per unit under the monthly Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA) mechanism for June 2026. During the hearing, CPPA officials said 13.07 billion units of electricity were sold during June. NEPRA Member Maqsood Anwar urged authorities to move beyond discussions about cheaper electricity and take practical steps to ensure its delivery to consumers.
