The outcome is a pincer movement against the free society. Woke totalitarianism and Islamic totalitarianism differ in vocabulary and aesthetic, yet they share a structural logic. Like ancient Athens, the free society of the West requires citizens who are neither. The rallying cry is therefore simple in formulation and demanding in practice: understand the enemy, understand yourselves, stop wounding one another over the choreography of resistance, and act—with both the clarity that argumentation supplies and the resolve that the gravity of the hour requires.
