Hyderabad: A 70-year-old man remained missing for more than 24 hours after being swept into a swollen stormwater drain at Madinaguda. HYDRAA rescue teams have launched an intensive three-kilometre search through underground pipelines and box drains in one of the city’s biggest monsoon rescue operations. Personnel entered underground pipelines and box drains, covering nearly three kilometres to trace the missing man. Operation to continue till missing man is tracedHYDRAA Additional Director Varla Papaiah and Serilingampally Zonal Commissioner Amit Narayan personally monitored the rescue operation and reviewed the progress of the search. Officials said the operation would continue until the missing man is traced.
