WhatsApp is rolling out audio and video calling through web browsers, allowing users to make and receive calls without installing its desktop application. WhatsApp Web will also support established calling tools such as screen sharing and reactions during calls. Calls made through WhatsApp Web use the device’s internet connection rather than conventional phone minutes. Waiting Rooms Add Controls to Group CallsThe company has also introduced waiting rooms for group calls created through a call link. WhatsApp supports group audio and video calls with up to 32 participants.
