Cathay Cargo has marked its longstanding partnership with Kintetsu World Express (KWE), describing the freight forwarder as one of the founding partners of its Corporate Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Programme.
Cathay said the programme empowers global businesses to support more sustainable air cargo operations through the wider adoption of SAF.
KWE also announced that representatives from Cathay Pacific Airways visited its headquarters in Shinagawa, Tokyo, on July 17.
During the visit, Nelson Chin, Regional General Manager for Northeast Asia, and Takaaki Watanabe, Cargo Manager for Japan and Korea, presented the company with a commemorative trophy recognising its SAF partnership with Cathay.
According to KWE, Cathay became its first SAF partner in 2021, and the two companies have worked together since then to support the decarbonisation of the air cargo industry.
