A new flag has been officially hoisted at the New Forest Show as a celebration of the region's special identity and heritage. The culmination of months of work from campaigner Brice Stratford, the historic New Forest Flag was recently recognised by the UK Flag Institute. Speaking at the launch, Mr Stratford described his quest to create an official New Forest flag as a “labour of love”. “This flag now exists forever, it is officially our flag, it belongs to all of us,” said Mr Stratford. New Forest Show CEO Denis Dooley added: “We’re incredibly proud that the New Forest Show has been chosen as the place to officially launch the newly recognised New Forest flag.
