One promising option is heated yoga, which combines physical movement, controlled breathing, mindfulness, and a heated environment. Unlike regular yoga, heated yoga is performed in rooms warmed to around 40°C. One group began heated yoga immediately, while the second group waited eight weeks before joining the same program. By the end of the program, people who completed the yoga classes showed substantial reductions in depression symptoms. Future studies will help clarify exactly how heated yoga works and identify the most effective programs for people living with depression.
