Three people have been killed after a late-night house fire erupted in Sydney’s southwest. Emergency crews were called to a home on Cornelia St in Wiley Park around 9.45pm on Wednesday after reports of a house on fire. Credit: 7NEWSFire and Rescue NSW Commissioner Jeremy Fewtrell attended the scene to offer support, and said investigations into the fire’s cause would be extensive. Fewtrell said cold spells “always see an increase in house fires” as he reminded people of the importance of having working fire alarms. Officers from Campsie Police Area Command have since established a crime scene and an investigation has begun, NSW Police said.
