A 79-year-old woman with dementia who went missing Tuesday night in Chikaming Township has been found safe. The Chikaming Township Police Department says it was called to a home near Warren Woods Road and Red Arrow Highway in Lakeside around 10:06 p.m. Tuesday after the woman had last been seen about 7:45 p.m.Police officers, firefighters, a K-9 unit, and drones searched the area before the woman was located in good health near a business along Red Arrow Highway by the Bridgman Police Department. She was safely returned to her home. The police department says law enforcement and emergency agencies assisted in the search.
