Ballard’s annual block party hosted by Rooftop Brewing and the Jolly Roger (1111 NW Ballard Way) will return on Saturday, Aug. 8, with a full day of live music, food, games and beer releases. The free event runs from noon to midnight at the Jolly Roger, with no cover charge. According to organizers, the annual celebration combines traditions from Rooftop Brewing and Maritime Pacific Brewing Company, which have each hosted summer events over the years to celebrate anniversaries, new beer releases and the summer season. This year’s event comes a year after Rooftop Brewing merged with Maritime Pacific Brewing following the retirement of Maritime Pacific founders George and Jane Hancock. The block party takes place Saturday, Aug. 8, from noon to midnight at the Jolly Roger, 1111 NW Ballard Way.
