Copenhagen is known for its københavnerbadeværelser (or "Copenhagen bathrooms”), where toilet, sink and shower are squeezed into a 1-2 square meter space. You may therefore also have noticed that these tiny bathrooms are limited to Copenhagen’s old buildings: until the early 1900s, the average apartment in Copenhagen didn’t come with private bathrooms.
